BMW introduced a very special version of "charged" M5 sedan called the Edition 35 Years. As the name implies, it is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the very first "em-fifth", and the Bavarians decided to celebrate the holiday on a special scale.

All 350 planned for the production of sedans will move to the dark side of the force: the novelty is planned to paint in a matte color, which is considered dark gray in BMW. Other visual differences will be 20-inch graphite-gray discs of unique design, black brake calipers and, oddly enough, the absence of nameplates on the trunk.

By and large, all the hints of the anniversary model BMW designers concentrated in the interior of the sedan. In addition to the sports seats, trimmed in black Merino leather with beige stitching, the cabin of the anniversary M5 will appear natural gold: the noble metal will cover the aluminum lining "carbon" on the center console and the front panel, the doors and even the door sills, on which appears the inscription "Edition 35 Jahre M5". In this case, the overlays will give a special relief structure.

In addition, the cabin will be an indication of the number of a particular instance in the party: place it on the lid of the Cup holder.

Anniversary BMW M5 is based on the version of Competition, which is equipped with an 8-cylinder engine capacity of 4.4 liters with a return of 625 HP and 750 Nm of torque. Thus, up to 100 km/h sedan can accelerate in 3.3 seconds. In addition, the basic equipment of the M5 will include a number of optional packages, including, for example, the package M Driver and active rear differential.

BMW will start assembling such sedans in September. Already known the cost of the anniversary BMW M5 in the US – it will be 128 995 dollars, but in North America will send only 35 copies of the super-sedan. Russia will get 15 cars.
