The Spanish company, part of the firm Seat, has released details about its concept electric car, which will debut in Frankfurt. Electric cross-coupe turned out to be very dynamic, but the serial prospects of the concept Tavascan is unclear.
The crossover is built on the MEB platform, which in the future will be the basis for all serial electric vehicles of Volkswagen. Cupra Tavascan received a very extravagant design which is intended to emphasize the modernity of the crossover, its emotionality, and the like.
Extravagant bumpers and aggressively dynamic silhouette are complemented by illuminated logos, unusual retractable door handles and 22-inch wheels with a design not just stylish, but also optimized in terms of aerodynamics. The body is painted in a specially invented shade of gray, which is emphasized by carbon and copper accents.
There is a lot of carbon in the interior of the concept, which is also decorated with bucket-shaped sports chairs with built-in speakers, special leather and Alcantara trim, 13-inch screen multimedia system and 12.3-inch dashboard. Despite a number of original elements, the interior looks almost ready for production.
The Cupra Tavascan powerplant employs three electric motors, providing all-wheel drive – two on the front axle and one on the rear. They develop 306 HP and accelerate the concept to 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds. The battery capacity of 77 kWh implanted in the floor panel, further lowering the center of gravity, and provides a cruising range on a single charge up to 450 km. other technical characteristics of the concept are not presented.
