Crossover Mercedes-Benz GLB gets to the buyer in a roundabout way, in several stages. The crossover was declassified a few months ago, the official debut will take place in a week, and the first cars in Russia will appear much later. But we already know when.
Mercedes-Benz GLB became a full – fledged-albeit the largest-member of the compact family of the brand. It is much larger than the all-terrain GLA, and can actually carry seven people at the same time (although the third row of seats and became an additional option). The novelty is focused not on urban use, but rather on travel lovers, who will definitely like a huge trunk for this class. Although, given the mentality of the Russian buyer, it is possible in our country GLB will be just the most popular Mercedes-Benz SUV for the city.
In Europe, the SUV has already received a wide range of engines and transmissions – from 163-horsepower gasoline engine and small diesel to 224-horsepower gasoline "four", 7 - and 8-speed robots and an optional all-wheel drive system. What of this diversity will reach our country is still unknown. It can be assumed that the Russian office of the brand will bet on the most powerful gasoline engine, uncontested four-wheel drive and rich configuration. And, accordingly, a fairly high price, which can be further increased thanks to an extensive list of options.
Clarity in the situation promised to make only next spring, when, as follows from the information from the Russian representative office of the brand, it is planned to start sales of GLB in Russia.
