REVIVED LEGEND – ALPINE A110

In early summer, the French company introduced a " hot " version of its only model so far-coupe A110, which received the letter S. Now the French demonstrated a "club" modification with rear-wheel drive, but not for the asphalt track, and for the dirt battlefield.

The fact that the track version of the coupe already has-they are called Cup and GT4. The rally version is based on them, but differs in a number of chassis modifications developed by Alpine's sports partner, the Signatech team.

For example, the suspension received new shock absorbers with 3-stage adjustable and powerful race brakes Brembo, and inside, there was a homologated frame, bucket seats and Sabelt put this car "statewide" multi-point seatbelts. In addition, the coupe was equipped with a new racing wheel with paddle shifters and a built-in display.

Regular 1.8-liter turbo engine got new settings that are designed not only to increase the return to 300 HP, but also to make a flatter torque curve. The transmission is borrowed from the A100 Cup – a six-speed sequential gearbox and differential increased friction. But the electronics chassis was also re-calibrated.

In the settings of the new items participated champion of France rally championship in classes monoprinting Emmanuel guigou and champion of France juniors 2015 Laurent Pele. Alpine intends to sell the novelty to private teams to participate in the rally category FIA R-GT, but is aimed at very wealthy riders-the basic cost of the sports car will be 150 thousand euros.
